Taman Bukit Minyak is a mostly residential neighbourhood situated in Bukit Minytak. It should not be confused with the nearby Taman Bukit Minyak Indah, separated by Jalan Bukit Minyak and Jalan Bukit Minyak 2. It is to the industrial areas of Bukit Minyak, Asas Jaya and Prai, so those working there will find the residential properties in the neighbourhood extremely convenient.
While Taman Bukit Minyak is not large by any means, it has two schools positioned along the Sungai Juru river – SK Permai Indah and SMK Permai Indah. Kolej Vokasional Seberang Perai is also located here, resulting in a number of student rentals in the neighbourhood.
Potential buyers and investors can choose between 2-storey semi-detached homes and 2-storey terrace homes. There is not much difference in their size, and both types of houses come with 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, a suitable size for growing families.

Within walking distance of this commercial area along the major road of Jalan Bukit Tengah is a bus stop, frequented by Rapid Penang buses 801 and 802. On the other hand, those who have private means of transport will find getting to other neighbourhoods and towns a lot more convenient, especially as Taman Bukit Minyak is located near to the North-South Expressway (NSE).
From the NSE, the Penang Bridge, situated towards the north, is just about 10km away, allowing residents to easily reach the Penang Island, where one can find many more recreational and entertainment hubs.
