Prai Tropika is a modernly designed residential neighbourhood of spaciously built landed homes. The residences appear to have been completed in recent years, with just 54 units of simple and contemporary terrace homes, each 2.5-storeys in height.
A standard terrace unit within Prai Tropika has a built-up size of 2,127 sf, with an impressive 5+1 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. Evidently, given their size and layout, the homes can cater to families of any size, whether large or small. Each unit offers high ceilings and a balcony on the top floor, while the porch is considerably spacious with ample space for drying racks and the likes, even with 2 vehicles parked within.
Prai Tropika offers a children’s playground, though it is not a gated and guarded community. As such, pricing of the homes are still within an affordable range. Upon their launch, prices began from RM374,000 while subsale prices of units on the market these days start from RM444,000. Rental is also within an acceptable range, at monthly rates from RM1,500.
Though Prai Tropika does not offer much in terms of facilities, it makes up for that with its strategic location close to amenities. Just on the peripheries of the neighbourhood, within walking distance of the homes is a Giant hypermarket, and petrol station. There are also a few schools nearby, namely SK St Mark Perai, SRJK (C) Chung Hwa 3 and SK Khir Johari.
Located just off the Butterworth Outer Ring Road (BORR), other conveniences are also aplenty within reach. Commercial hubs line the road, where banks, a post office, restaurants, eateries, convenience stores, mini markets clinics and more can be found. The Megamall Penang and Mydin Mall Bukit Mertajam are also about 10 minutes’ drive away.
Accessibility wise, the BORR leads north to the town of Butterworth approximately 20 minutes away, while connecting to Jalan Baru southwards. With that, the North-South Expressway (NSE) is also accessible from Prai Tropika, where the first Penang bridge is just under 10 minutes away.
