With the opening of the North South Highway in Peninsular Malaysia, the potential of some of KLK’s plantation land was unlocked for property development. The Property Division started with its joint venture in Kumpulan Sierramas (M) Sdn Bhd to develop SIERRAMAS in Sungai Buloh. This project is at its tail-end with premium houses built under the “Gated and Guarded” concept.

In 2002, a 230 acre mixed residential and commercial township known as DESA COALFIELDS was launched by our Property Division and the township is now home to more than 10,000 residents as more than 2,000 units of houses and shops have been fully completed and sold.

Following the success of DESA COALFIELDS, KLK has unlocked another 1,000 acres of its plantation landbank at Sungai Buloh to develop the latest township, BANDAR SERI COALFIELDS, located directly opposite DESA COALFIELDS, which will comprise of double storey terrance houses, superlink homes, semi-detached houses, bungalows, shop offices, petrol stations and commercial lots integrated with a wide array of public amenities and well planned infrastructure.

The Bromelia and Duranta 2 Storey Link Homes which were opened for sale at the inaugural launch of the first phase of BANDAR SERI COALFIELDS in April 2011 were overwhelmingly received . The BANYAN SEMI-DEES which were the 2 Storey Semi-Detached Houses were subsequently launched in July 2011 and were completely sold out within 2 weeks of the launch.
