Lenga is a small and quiet town located in the state of Johor. It is located within Muar, and is a very peaceful and old-school town with touches of history in places. Although it is not a town which is remarkable for its tourism, driving through Lenga is rather enjoyable as it is akin to taking a step back into the past. Staying in Lenga during serious monsoon periods does however have severe setbacks, as the entire town is prone to flash floods with the water levels high enough to cover the entire first storey of a house for long periods. During these times, the entire town can only be traversed by boats, where the only mode of transport in and out of Lenga is also by boat. The most serious floods to have occurred in Lenga was in the year 2006, and in the year 2011.
