Taman Tangling is an older neighbourhood in Simpang Ampat, Seberang Perai. It is situated between two other neighbourhoods – a residential neighborhood, Taman Belibis, and a commercial one, Taman Iks Perda.

Taman Tangling’s properties consist of 1-storey and 2-storey terrace houses, and several rows of 2-storey shop houses nearer to the main road of Jalan Permatang Tinggi. Businesses here, most of them run by the Chinese population, include restaurants and bakeries, medical shops, furnishing stores and a mini market.

Via a walk of less than 5 minutes, residents of Taman Tangling will be able to access two bus stops in front of the neighbourhood, where Rapid Penang buses 801 and 802 pass by on their way to Penang Sentral, Nibong Tebal, or Bukit Mertajam.

It is even much more convenient for those who have private modes of transport, as much of Simpang Ampat and Seberang Perai is linked by roads, but not necessarily bus routes. From Taman Tangling, the North-South Expressway (NSE) is about 5km or 10 minutes away. Using the NSE, one can drive to the Second Penang Bridge, which is 15km away. The journey takes about 20 minutes with regular traffic.

Also, the main city centre of Simpang Ampat is located less than 3km from the neighbourhood, enabling residents of Taman Tangling to reach even more amenities, in addition to educational facilities and the Simpang Ampat KTM station.

Industrial zones like Batu Kawan, Asas Jaya and Bukit Minyak are reasonably near to Taman Tangling – approximately 12km, 6km, and 7.5km. This makes Taman Tangling a suitable place to stay for those who do not want to stay too close to the industrial areas due to a fear of pollution, yet want to stay within easy access to these areas as well as amenities like eateries and shops.
