Sri Intan is a condominium residence located in Tanjung Bungah, Penang. The 4-storey building offers only 20 residential units, which is extremely low-density. The residence which has a well-kept facade, also functions as a resort, known as the Telekom Malaysia Guest House Resort.
The units at Sri Intan have built-up sizes of 830 sf, with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. They also hold freehold tenure, with subsale prices of units for sale on the market beginning from RM285,000. Rental for the units are at about RM1,000 per month.
Sri Intan does have a resort feel to it, with a pleasant swimming pool. The entire structure of the building curves around it too, enabling pool views for most units. Apart from that, the residence is also just a short walk away from a beach nearby. A parking lot and 24-hour security is also provided.
Located just off Jalan Tanjung Bungah, Sri Intan residents can enjoy access to a range of conveniences which can be found in the area. Commercial shop lots line Jalan Tanjung Bungah, where there are convenience stores, mini markets, bakeries, eateries and cafes. A short drive further up will also lead to even more commercial hubs where banks, a post office, pharmacies, clinics and an even wider choice of food and beverage outlets can be found.
Educational institutions in the Tanjung Bungah area is aplenty, with two international schools, namely Dalat International School and Tenby International School just a few minutes’ drive from Sri Intan. Other schools include SK Tanjung Bungah, SJK (C) Poay Wah and SJK (C) Hun Bin. The nearest hospital is the Mount Miriam Cancer Hospital. More amenities are a short drive away, such as the Tesco hypermarket and Straits Quay Marina Mall in the Seri Tanjung Pinang area. There are also malls like Island Plaza just after Tanjung Tokong as well as Gurney Plaza and Gurney Paragon at Gurney Drive.
Accessibility to and from Sri Intan is also easy, with Jalan Tanjung Bungah being the main route leading to other towns southeast of the island, such as Tanjung Tokong approximately 7 minutes away, and even Georgetown just over 20 minutes from the property. Further up along the road will lead to the popular seaside town of Batu Ferringhi, slightly over 10 minutes’ drive. However, traffic along Jalan Tanjung Bungah and Jalan Tanjung Tokong (the stretch of the main road which runs through the town of Tanjung Tokong) is known to be heavy, especially during peak hours.
