Kampung Bukit Lanjan is an old neighbourhood located opposite of Empire City in Petaling Jaya. One can reach here via Damansara-Puchong Highway (LDP) towards Jalan Penchala Indah or Jalan PJU 8/8 from Damansara Perdana. You can also get here from Kampung Sungai Penchala.
This place is very mellow even though it's near to major commercial areas. Not only that. You can also witness a juxtaposition from this place, which is quite similar to Kampung Baru in Kuala Lumpur city centre. Most of the properties here are single-storey houses. There are also some wooden houses, as well as bungalows. Apart from that, there's also an industrial area within the place.
Due to the convenient location, you have the options of access roads to nearby neighbourhoods like Mutiara Damansara, Taman Tun Dr Ismail, Bandar Utama and Damansara Perdana.
When it comes to amenities, you can only find food stalls and small convenience stores. The nearest school would be SK Sg Penchala and SK Bukit Lanjan. For more options, you can drive to Kampung Sungai Penchala or Taman Tun Dr Ismail, where you can find plenty of eateries, clinics, groceries shop and convenience stores.
There are two things to take note: Infrastructure here may not be stellar as there have been complaints from the residents about the infrastructure, like the upgrading and maintenance of drains, roads, and fields. Apart from that, security matters such as car thefts and house break-ins should be something to be kept in mind too.
