Sheng Tai International has on the 14th of December launched The Sail, which is to be the largest mixed development in Melaka. Spearheaded by the visionary Dato’ Leong Sir Ley, the Sheng Tai International is an award-winning company with experience in real estate, property development, and investment management, while specialising in the hospitality line with expertise in property tourism.

Sheng Tai International aims to make The Sail the Central Business District (CBD) of Melaka with luxurious condotels, 5 and 6-star hotels, business suites, a luxury shopping mall, and a central square with shop lots.

The first in Melaka for many things, The Sail will also tout a Moon Theatre with 360˚ movie experience, a 330-metre longest unity sky ring, and a 386-metre longest rooftop pool (internal ring).

Among the other amenities provided that will draw in the crowd is a 59th floor Sky Open Bar, themed sky bars and international cuisine restaurants, a waterslide alfresco, and a 2-storey Ballroom & Exhibition Hall on the 15th and 16th floors. Catering to all walks of lives, The Sail will also become the local hangout spot with its retail aspect.

The Sail is a strategically located project in the heart of Kota Laksamana in Melaka. Within a 10-kilometre radius of the project will be a multitude of local attractions and amenities, including the Melaka International Airport.

Accessibility to the project will be convenient for both Malaysians and Singaporeans, as Melaka is sited between the Kuala Lumpur city centre and Singapore. Additionally, Melaka is a key strategic point of China’s Belt Road Initiative as it will be home to one of the stops of the future High-Speed Rail's Kuala Lumpur-Singapore route.

The Sail is expected to not only draw in the local and Singaporean crowd but tap into the international tourism market as well. Melaka was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2008, and has since then been drawing tourists from both the local and international market. In the year 2018, Melaka received 17.02 million tourists.

As the largest mixed development in Melaka and the future CBD of the state, The Sail is expected to become a thriving hub of activity renowned to both the local and international market in the future.
